About us
Background information
MAGU – Career Development Centre – hereafter called MAGU –CDC is subsidiary company of Malawi Assemblies of God
University. Incorporated under the Malawi Company’s registration TMBRS 1010200 in 2017, MAGU-CDC began first semester
in July 2017.
MAGU – CDC was formed by Malawi Assemblies of God University to fulfill the following objectives: a. To provide education services – professional and short courses – to the students.
b. Setting up as a pool for students entering into the university.
c. To provide extra income to the university system.
This is straight forwardness and honesty in all matters of
businesses. It also implies fair dealings and truthfulness. Although it may at times be
painful and harsh to the system and to the university members to practice integrity,
MAGU-CDC esteems it as its founding character for both individual and organizational behavior.
At MAGU-CDC, we believe that Christians are Kingdom
people and Christ Himself is the eternal King over His Kingdom. Therefore, every
believer is called to represent God with missioned intent wherever they may be found.
We value the educational approach that considers the whole
person, and strives to equip the mind and the heart. MAGU-CDC is committed to high standards of research, writing,
thinking and application as a means of preparing students to engage with a global community.
We value developing a citizenry that believes and participates wholesomely in the building of a
nation where they reside.
Validation and Accreditation
MAGU which owns and runs Career Development Centre registered, and recognized as a university and its educational programs
accredited by the Council for Higher Education (NCHE) under the Malawi government; it collaborates with the Global University
(USA) which has accreditation covering through the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Additionally, MAGU has
some of its programmes accredited through the Association of Pentecostal Theological Education in Africa (APTEA), and furthermore
it enjoys the ecclesiastical endorsement of Africa Theological Training Service (ATTS).
